Privacy

We hold two kinds of information: what you tell us about your business, and what your customers say when they call it. Both belong to you. We don't sell either, we don't share them with other businesses on Connec8 Desk, and we don't use your calls to train anything.

• Your name, email and phone number when you sign up or ask for a callback, so we can reach you.
• Your business details — name, hours, prices, services — because that is what your receptionist needs in order to answer anything.
• Business verification documents when you activate a phone number. These are passed straight to the telecom operator for the verification the regulator requires, and we do not keep a copy.
• Basic usage records: how many calls came in, how long they ran, what they cost.

• Their phone number, and their name if they give it.
• A recording and a written transcript of the call, so you can see exactly what was said.
• Whatever they asked for — a price, a booking, a callback — stored as a lead in your account.

You are the one deciding to record these calls, so you are responsible for telling callers if the law where you operate requires it. Ask us and we'll help you add an announcement to the greeting.

Only you and the staff you give access to. Access is per-person and per-area — you can let a receptionist see leads without letting them change your settings or read transcripts. Our own engineers can access your data only when you ask us to look at a problem.

We use a small number of service providers to run the product: a telecom operator to carry the calls, a cloud database to store your records, and an authentication provider to manage logins. They process this data on our instructions and nothing else.

Leads and transcripts stay until you delete them or close your account. Call recordings are kept for the period stated in your plan. Close your account and we delete your data within 30 days, apart from what we're required to keep for tax and telecom records.

Ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct something, or ask us to delete it, and we will — within 30 days.

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The product dashboard sets a cookie to keep you signed in, which is the only one it needs.
